Chronic Pain Causes Poor Sleep
Chronic pain is a common and frequently untreated cause of poor
sleep. Either the individual wakes often during the night, sleeping
fitfully or wakes in the early hours of the morning and has trouble
getting back to sleep.
Chronic pain induced sleep disturbance quickly becomes a vicious
circle, with the lack of sleep making the sensation of pain worse.

A 12 month double-blind clinical test of magnetic mattress pads
for pain relief in hospitalized patients was conducted at the Sanikukal
Hospital, Tokyo Communications Hospital and Kouseikai Suzuki Hospital
in Japan.
Out of 375 total subjects with symptoms in this study, 301 (80.27%)
reported positive results. 74 cases (19.73%) reported no results.
